Qualified as a PGA Professional in 2008

Coaching - 2005 winner of Newly Qualified Coach for all sports at the  Devon Sports Awards
Playing- 2007 Winner of the Most Improved Assistant Award in the Devon PGA

North Devon Coach Wins Top Award

Royal North Devon Golf Club’s Dan Wood has won a prestigious award in his first year as a professional. He has been voted Devon’s ‘Newly Qualified Coach’ of the year. Dan collected his award at a star-studded ceremony in Tiverton hosted by West Country TV’s Mark Tyler. Dan was nominated for his work with Royal North Devon’s rapidly growing junior section, where he coaches young players from 5 to 14 years. He and head pro Iain Parker hope to produce the area’s champion golfers of the future and currently coach over 70 promising youngsters including 15 girls.
